Program Details

Join us for an engaging after-school Chess Club designed for 4th-6th graders who want to learn or improve their chess skills! Over this 6-week program, participants will develop strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the joy of friendly competition. Mr. Norstad, a passionate 4th Grade Teacher with a love for chess, will guide students through fundamentals, tactics, and exciting matches in a supportive environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, this program welcomes all levels of experience!

Program Details

  • Dates: Tuesdays, April 22nd
  • Time: 4:30-5:30PM
  • Ages/Grades: 3rd-5th Grade
  • Experience Level: No previous experience needed
  • Location: SkanStrength-Upstairs Activity Room
  • Format: Drop in for individual sessions or attend the entire 6-week series! Our flexible format allows you to participate according to your schedule.
  • Transportation: Many kids take the bus after school to our facility. Parents/guardians need to write a note/call the school to arrange this. They may play chess while they wait for the class to begin or work on their homework.
