Our Story

The story of SkanStrength's origins is one of humble beginnings. It all started in a modest 500sqft space beneath a local bar, tucked away in an old conference room opposite Tops grocery store in 2017. Our journey began as a Personal Training studio, and by 2018 we gradually transitioned to a slightly larger yet still unassuming 800sqft venue below a distillery, which now houses Skaneateles Brewery. From 2018 to late 2019, our home was the basement of that building.

By 2020, just before the onset of the Covid pandemic, we made a move to the front half of our current location. However, in March of 2020, Covid regulations forced us to close our doors completely until the end of June. It was only then that we could resume training our members outdoors under the sheltering awning attached to the building, a setting that remained our training ground until November 2020.

Despite facing the loss of nearly 75% of our membership and the need to start over again, we were determined in rebuilding our business. With fortitude and unity, our family forged ahead; expanding to an additional 3300 square feet of turf sports space. Our offerings evolved from personal training to a diverse range of health and wellness programs. We extend a welcoming hand to the local little league, youth football, and other youth teams and organizations during their off-seasons. Our facility has seen thousands of community members benefit from our services.

Embracing a sense of pride, humility, and unwavering commitment, we strive to cultivate a lifelong legacy by serving the welcoming community that embraced us, the "out-of-towners," as we pursued our dream.
